Ballymaloe Cookery Course: Week 11: Tuesday


Food writer, broadcaster and author Caroline Hennessy has been focused on food and writing since editing Ireland’s first food website for RTÉ in 2000. Chair of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild, she established the award-winning Bibliocook: All About Food in 2005, is the author of two books about beer and food and has a column in the Irish Examiner in which she writes about small food producers and the ways in which they develop and maintain a sustainable local food system.

  2. Wine down – all the rest to go! I’m not sure if I’ll actually be around on Saturday, Sarah, but give me a call that morning and I’ll know where I am then! May be going back to the cottage to study and practice but hoping to call into the farmers’ market in Middleton on Saturday morning, fingers crossed.

  4. You should still call down at some stage, Sarah, just to give yourself an idea of what you would be letting yourself in for! See if you can make it some time midweek during the next 12-week course and give the school a call – they always welcome visits from potential students, although I have to say that I never managed a proper visit before I started.
