Food writer, broadcaster and author Caroline Hennessy has been focused on food and writing since editing Ireland’s first food website for RTÉ in 2000. Chair of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild, she established the award-winning Bibliocook: All About Food in 2005, is the author of two books about beer and food and has a column in the Irish Examiner in which she writes about small food producers and the ways in which they develop and maintain a sustainable local food system.

  3. Can’t believe that, Kieran – after all, you even make your own marzipan! Reading Rose Levy Beranbaum’s The Bread Bible at the moment and you might find it helpful if you’re thinking of starting – I think that there’s too much detail, often flying much more by the seat of my pants, recipe-wise, but I think she would be great to shepherd a newbie through the first few loaves.Thanks Sarah – it’s only a small step from the Cork RTÉ studios, after all!
