Lyric fm: Going underground for dinner – underground dining in Ireland
My Culture File report on underground dining in Ireland, featuring Lilly Higgins’ Loaves and Fishes Supper Club and the Clonakilty by Candlelight pop-up restaurant events, is now available as a Lyric fm podcast.
Thanks to all my interviewees for their help, especially the Queens of Neon, Ted Berner (Wildside Catering) and all at Clonakilty by Candlelight for a fantastic night and many reams of great sounds that I had great fun in editing (you can catch me and my fluffy mic at work here).
Also thanks to Lilly Higgins – her Macaroon Tart, as ‘tested’ while doing the interview, was to die for and the Husband was very appreciative of the chunk that I came home with. Looking forward to getting my mitts on her cookbook later this year!
Great piece, Caroline!
As you could probably tell, I really enjoyed doing it! I’m a big fan of doing food-related research.
Thanks Caroline! I’ll put the link to the piece on my blog too!x
And not an “erm” in sight!
Caroline,
Only just heard this piece from Lyric – it’s great! Good to spread love on supper clubs, I have feeling there’ll be lots more. We have supper club in Roscommon on an organic farm since early this year…..
Thanks again,
Sarah
That supper club sounds interesting, Sarah. Where could I find more information on it?
Hi Caroline – a little late in my reply to you! We usually post dates for supperclub here http://www.facebook.com/sarahbrownekitchennutrition and working on getting a blog going. If you’d like to know more let me know.
Sarah
Thanks Sarah!
